High Street
  • Hartsop Wainwright Bonanza! Saturday 30th October, 2021

Join me on this epic 8-9 hour walk (depending on group pace) in the Lake District, the start of which is just a 15 minute drive from Windermere.  The route will take us to the glorious summit of High Street, knocking a few others off on the way - Brock Crags, The Knott, Rampsgill Head, Kidsty Pike, High Raise and Rest Dodd - 7 Wainwright’s in total.  If you don't know who Wainwright is....look him up....Alfred....an icon of Cumbria.

You don’t need to be a seasoned hill walker to take part but you do need sufficient fitness to walk for 8 hours on steep paths on ascent and descent, with reasonable balance and coordination.  We will journey at a comfortable pace, allowing for plenty of photo opportunities and refreshment stops as necessary.

Sturdy, well worn-in walking boots are essential as the path will be uneven, slippy and boggy in places.

A supportive, friendly and encouraging welcome awaits you from a qualified mountain leader (also first-aider and registered nurse) and all the other participants.
